The Energy Strategy Implementation Program of Kosovo (PZSEK) for the period 2022–2025 is a key document that outlines concrete steps to achieve the goals set in the Kosovo Energy Strategy 2022–2031. The program was approved by the Government of the Republic of Kosovo on September 5, 2023, and includes a range of measures and investments to ensure a sustainable, reliable, and clean energy supply.
🎯 Strategic Objectives
PZSEK focuses on five strategic goals:

Enhancing energy efficiency

The program includes 90 activities, organized under 15 specific objectives, including:

Increasing system flexibility through the construction of new capacity and modernization of existing infrastructure.

Reducing network losses by improving transmission and distribution systems.

Promoting renewable energy, with an emphasis on expanding generation capacity from renewable sources.

Boosting energy efficiency in buildings through renovation measures and advanced technologies.
💰 Funding and Monitoring
The estimated cost for implementing the program is approximately €1.012 billion, which will be financed through various sources, including the Budget of the Republic of Kosovo, private investments, loans, and international donations. The Ministry of Economy is responsible for monitoring and reporting on the implementation of the program, in accordance with the relevant administrative guidelines. (ME – Ministry of Economy).
